The National Strategic Project (PSN) for the development of a Waste-to-Energy (PSEL) facility in Tangerang City has officially moved forward with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. This agreement formalizes the partnership between the Tangerang City Government and PT Oligo Infra Swarna Nusantara, involving a strategic investment of IDR 2.585 trillion (approximately USD 185 million). The Deputy for Maritime Sovereignty and Energy at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs (Kemenkomarves) served as a witness, representing the Central Government.
Also in attendance were the Chairperson of the DPRD of Tangerang City, officials from the governments of Tangerang and Palembang, and representatives from key central government institutions, including the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, KPPIP, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Investment (BKPM), and Bappenas.
This milestone marks a critical step toward realizing a modern, environmentally responsible solution to urban waste management through energy conversion.
